English

This article explores some aspects of craftsmanship practiced by the inhabitants of the city of Mascara during the Middle Ages. It should be noted at the outset that this research faces a number of difficulties related to the scarcity of information, in front of this reality, the researcher is trying to find solutions and answers to his questions through the available source references, or by resorting to some approaches within the geographic space of the Central Maghreb. Whatever the matter, the goal that we aspire to by drawing the general features of the history of crafts and craftsmanship in this city is to circumvent the cultural and urban heritage that this city left behind by serving it through study and research in order to preserve it.

تروم هذه الورقة الحفر في بعض جوانب النشاط الحرفي الذي مارسه أهل مدينة المعسكر خلال فترة العصر الوسيط. وتجدر الإشارة في البداية إلى أن البحث والتفصيل في هذا النشاط تواجهه جملة من الصعوبات المتعلقة بشح المادة الخبرية، وأمام هذا الأمر الواقعي حاول الباحث إيجاد حلول وإجابات لأسئلته من خلال ما توفر من إشارات مصدرية، أو عن طريق اللجوء إلى بعض المقاربات في إطار الحيز الجغرافي للمغرب الأوسط.

ومهما يكن من أمر فإن الهدف الذي نصبو إليه من خلال رسم الملامح العامة لتاريخ الحرف والصنائع بهذه المدينة، هو الالتفاف حول ما خلفته هذه المدينة من تراث ثقافي وعمراني بخدمته عن طريق الدراسة والبحث صيانة له وحفظا لذكره.

Cet article explore certains aspects de l'artisanat pratiqué par les habitants de la ville de Mascara au cours du Moyen Âge. Il convient de noter d’emblée que la recherche et les détails de cette activité se heurtent à un certain nombre de difficultés liées à la rareté des informations, et que le chercheur tente de trouver des solutions et des réponses à ses questions en utilisant des signaux de source ou en recourant à certaines approches au sein de la zone géographique.
