The History is considered like a convenient source for writers, it gives them the chance to write novels qualified by the term “historical novels”. The historical novel owes a lot at Walter Scott, Scottish writer famous by his “Waverley Novels”. This article would like to show the influence of Sir Walter Scott on the modern literature. We have chosen “Algiers, white Town” like a corpus of our study which focuses on the research and projection of criterions constituted the historicity of a novel, these criterions are elaborated by Louis Maigron in “assay about the influence of Sir Walter Scott” and George Lukacs in “ The Historical Novel”. The article determines also the statute of History in literature.

لطالما اٌعتبر التاريخ مصدرا للروائيين إذ يمنحهم ثراء أحداثه فرصة كتابة روايات نصنفها اليوم بالروايات التاريخية. يعود فضل إنشاء الرواية التاريخية كنوع أدبي لوولتر سكوت، كاتب سكوتلندي مشهور بمجموعته " روايات وافرلي".
هذا المقال يتناول دراسة حول مدى تأثير وولتر سكوت على كتابة الرواية التاريخية الحديثة.
الدراسة تقوم على البحث عن معايير السكوتيسية ، أي طريقة وولتر سكوت في الكتابة، وإسقاطها على رواية "الجزاير المدينة البيضاء" للكاتبة ريجين دوفرج، هذه المعايير تم استخراجها من تحليلات لويس ميغران في كتابه " دراسة حول تاثير وولتر سكوت" و تحليلات جورج لوكاكش في كتابه " الرواية التاريخية". المقال يرمي أيضا الى تحديد مكانة التاريخ في الرواية الأدبية.

Depuis longtemps l’Histoire est considérée comme une source commode où l’écrivain use de sa richesse pour donner naissance à des œuvres qualifiées d’historiques.
Le roman historique doit beaucoup à Walter Scott, un écrivain écossais célèbre par sa série Waverley Novels. Cet article propose de voir l’étendue et l’influence de ce précurseur dans le roman historique contemporain à travers la recherche des critères de la scotticité
dans Alger ville blanche de Régine Deforges, l’étude s’appuie sur les analyses de Louis Maigron dans essai sur l’influence de Sir Walter Scott et George Lukacs dans Le Roman Historique, elle détermine aussi le statut de l’Histoire dans la littérature.
