The philosophy’s relationship with translation is as old as human civilization, and given the effectiveness of philosophical thought in driving the cultural activity of a nation, it has assumed great importance in the global civilization, as the value of nations is measured by the numbers of philosophers they possess. Given the relationship between translation and true, the philosophical dimension remains strongly present, given that the translator sometimes tends to go beyond pluralism, including his own tongue, in search of “Pure language”, as in the case of Walter Ben Yameen, or to try to keep the other for Antoine Berman, or to deflect the contradiction between philosophy and translation, as they are two distinct rhetoric exercises in the words of Moroccan philosopher Taha Abdelrahman.

إن علاقة الفلسفة بالترجمة قديمة قدم الحضارة الإنسانية، وبالنظر إلى فعالية الفكر الفلسفي، في دفع النشاط الثقافي لدى أمّة من الأمم، فقد اكتسى أهمية بالغة على الصعيد الحضاري العالمي، إذ أصبحت قيمة الأمم تقاس بما تحوزه من أعداد الفلاسفة. ونظراً إلى وجود علاقة بين الترجمة والحقيقة فإن البعد الفلسفي يظل حاضراً بقوة، من منطلق أن المترجم يميل أحيانا إلى تجاوز تعددية الألسن بما في ذلك لسانه الخاص، بحثاً عن «لغة خالصة» كما هو الشأن بالنسبة لفالتر بن يمين، أو محاولة إبقاء آخرية الآخر بالنسبة لأنطوان برمان، أو صرف للتناقض القائم بين الفلسفة والترجمة، لكونهما ممارستان خطابيتان متمايزتان فيما بينهما على حد تعبير الفيلسوف المغربي طه عبد الرحمن.
أين يكمن دور الفيلسوف،إذن، في مجال الترجمة في ظل هذه الرؤى الغربية منها والعربية؟

La relation de la philosophie avec la traduction est aussi ancienne que la civilisation humaine, et étant donné l’efficacité de la pensée philosophique dans le pilotage de l’activité culturelle d’une nation, elle a pris une grande importance dans la civilisation globale, La valeur des nations se mesure au nombre de philosophes qu’elles possèdent. Compte tenu du rapport entre traduction et vérité, la dimension philosophique reste fortement présente, étant donné que le traducteur tend parfois à aller au-delà du pluralisme, y compris de sa propre langue, en quête d’un «langage pur», comme dans le cas de Walter Ben Yamin, ou bien tenter de garder l’autre pour Antoine Berman, ou encore détourner la contradiction entre philosophie et traduction, qui sont deux exercices de rhétorique distincts comme le précise le philosophe marocain Taha Abdelrahman.Où est, donc, le rôle du philosophe dans la traduction selon ces visions occidentales et arabes?
