Professor Abdelmadjid Hounoune is regarded as one of the most distinguished intellectual figures within the field of comparative literature, both in Algeria and across the Arab world. This recognition stems primarily from his remarkable contributions and his decisive role in the emergence, dissemination, and development of this discipline within Algerian universities, while maintaining a strong connection with the broader Arab academic sphere. Throughout his scholarly and professional career, he has distinguished himself through his commitment to teaching, mentoring, and organizing numerous national and international conferences. His extensive body of work, including books, articles, and translations, is characterized by its scientific rigor, thematic richness, and openness to new horizons in comparative studies. His oeuvre also highlights the multiple dimensions of Algerian identity, thereby endowing the field of comparative literature with a distinctively national imprint and a scholarly contribution of Algerian essence that resonates both locally and globally. The present study aims to shed light on these contributions and to examine the principal theoretical and thematic orientations that define Professor Abdelmadjid Hounoune’s approach to comparative literature.

يعد الأستاذ عبد المجيد حنون من أهم الأعلام الجزائريين والعرب الذين ارتبط اسمهم بحقل الأدب المقارن في الساحتين الجزائرية والعربية وإن مرد ذلك إنما هو المساهمات الكبيرة والقيمة للأستاذ ومجهوداته الفعالة والمشهود لها في ترسيخ ونشر وتطوير هذا الحقل في الجامعة الجزائرية وربطها بالنشاط الأكاديمي العربي، وهو الذي كرس مساره العلمي والمهني لذلك من خلال ما قام به من جهود على مستوى التدريس والتأطير للدرس العربي المقارن والتنظيم والمشاركة في ملتقيات محلية ودولية، أو على مستوى التأليف المتخصص للعديد من الأعمال كتبا ومقالات وترجمة لأعمال في حقل الدراسات المقارنة، أعمال تميزت بقيمتها العلمية وثرائها الموضوعاتي في حدود الميادين المتعلقة بالدرس العربي المقارن في تساير وانفتاح على كل جديد، مبرزا الهوية الجزائرية بأبعادها المختلفة ما شكل إضافة علمية ذات طابع جزائري لحقل الأدب المقارن محليا ووطنيا. وهو ما تحاول رصده هذه الورقة البحثية من خلال الاحتفاء بجهود الأستاذ عبد المجيد حنون ومنجزه في حقل الأدب المقارن والتفصيل في مختلف المواضيع والميادين المتعلقة بهذا الحقل والتي طرق بابها الأستاذ بالبحث والتنظير والتطبيق.

Le professeur Abdelmadjid Hounoune est considéré comme étant l’une des figures les plus emblématiques parmi les intellectuels algériens reconnues au sein du champ de la littérature comparée, tant sur la scène algérienne qu’arabe. Cette reconnaissance est due essentiellement à ses contributions remarquables ainsi qu’à son rôle dans l’émergence, la diffusion et le développement de cette discipline au niveau de l’université algérienne tout en la rattachant étroitement à l’activité académique arabe. Au fil de son parcours académique et scientifique, il s’est pertinemment démarqué par son engagement dans l’enseignement, l’encadrement et l’organisation de colloques nationaux et internationaux. Ses multiples travaux, ouvrages, articles ou traductions, se caractérisent par leur rigueur scientifique et leur richesse thématique tout en s’inscrivant dans le cadre des divers domaines inhérents à la littérature comparée à travers une ouverture vers de nouveaux horizons. Son œuvre met également en valeur les différentes dimensions de l’identité algérienne, offrant ainsi au champ de la littérature comparée une empreinte nationale originale et un apport scientifique d’essence algérienne, à la fois local et universel. La présente étude se propose de mettre en lumière ces contributions et d’examiner les principales orientations théoriques et thématiques qui caractérisent la démarche du professeur Abdelmadjid Hounoune dans le domaine de la littérature comparée.
