Techno-discursive study of online polemic: Example of Facebook comments around “hijab de running”

Our contribution is part of a reflection on native digital discourse. In which we propose a techno-discursive study of the polemic on the social network Facebook, more precisely on the space of comments, with the aim of, on the one hand, probing the argumentation underlying the online debate and, on the other hand, detecting the characteristics inherent to this interdiscursif space. To do this, we explored the descriptive, quantitative and qualitative aspect of a corpus of comments relating to the controversy of Decathlon’s «running hijab», dating from 2019. By adopting an ecological approach based on the notional framework of digital discourse analysis, discourse analysis and rhetoric, we first identified the technodiscursive features likely to configure a digital space of controversy. Then, we presented the argumentative strategies as well as the main arguments mobilized during the debate by opponents of the marketing of this garment in France

هذه المساهمة تندرج ضمن دراستنا لخطاب الويب الاصلي. نقترح في هذا المقال دراسة تكنو-خطابية للجدل الدائر على الشبكة الاجتماعية الرقمية فيسبوك، وبشكل أكثر دقة في مساحة التعليقات، بهدف التحقق من الحجج الكامنة في النقاش عبر الإنترنت من ناحية. ومن ناحية، الكشف عن الخصائص المتأصلة في هذا الفضاء الخطابي. للقيام بذلك، قمنا باستكشاف الجانب الوصفي والكمي والنوعي لمجموعة من التعليقات المتعلقة بالجدل حول “hijab de running” في ديكاتلون، والتي يعود تاريخها إلى عام 2019. من خلال اعتماد نهج بيئي يعتمد على الإطار النظري لتحليل الخطاب الرقمي، تحليل الخطاب و البلاغة، حددنا أولاً السمات التكنو-خطابية التي من المحتمل أن تشكل مساحة جدلية رقمية. بعد ذلك، قمنا بعرض الاستراتيجيات الجدلية بالإضافة إلى الحجج الرئيسية المستخدمة خلال المناقشة من قبل المعارضين لتسويق هذا الثوب في فرنسا.

Notre contribution s’inscrit dans le cadre d’une réflexion sur le discours numérique natif. Dans laquelle nous proposons une étude techno-discursive de la polémique sur le réseau socionumérique Facebook, plus précisément sur l’espace des commentaires, dans le but d’une part, sonder l’argumentation sous-jacente au débat en ligne et d’autre part, déceler les caractéristiques inhérentes à cet espace interdiscursif. Pour ce faire, nous avons exploré l’aspect descriptif, quantitatif et qualitatif d’un corpus de commentaires relatif à la polémique du « hijab de running » de Decathlon, datant de 2019. En adoptant une démarche écologique qui repose sur le cadre notionnel de l’analyse du discours numérique l’analyse du discours et la rhétorique, nous avons d’abord identifié les traits technodiscursifs susceptibles de configurer un espace numérique de polémique. Ensuite, nous avons exposé les stratégies argumentatives ainsi que les principaux arguments mobilisés lors de débat, par les opposants à la commercialisation de ce vêtement en Francee.
