Dans la pensée arabe, la question de la morale n’a pas reçu l’importance requise par rapport à la politique. C’est pourquoi Muhammad Abed al-Jabri a consacré une part importante de son travail critique à l’éthique, qu’il qualifie de « raison pratique » dans son ouvrage « L’esprit moral arabe ». Cette étude vise à répondre à certaines questions liées à ce concept, notamment: quel sens Jabri a-t-il voulu attribuer à la critique de l’éthique ? Quelles sont les implications de cette tendance ? Et quelle est sa valeur? Pour tenter de répondre à ces questions, l’objectif est de comprendre la réalité de la recherche sur la morale dans la pensée arabe contemporaine, ainsi que sa capacité à aborder les questions actuelles sous un angle éthique.

لم تحظ المسألة الأخلاقية في الفكر العربي بالأهمية المطلوبة، قياسا بالسياسة مثلا، لذا أفرد محمد عابد الجابري جزءا هاما من مشروعه النقدي للأخلاق ، تحت مسمى العقل العملي، من خلال كتابه العقل الأخلاقي العربي، الذي انشغلنا فيه بالإجابة على السؤال ما هو مفهوم النقد الذي أراده الجابري للأخلاق؟ ما هي الآثار التي ترتبت على هذا التوجه؟ وما هي قيمته؟ يحاول هذا العمل الإجابة على هذه الأسئلة، بهدف معرفة واقع البحث القيمي في الفكر العربي المعاصر، ومدى قدرته على التصدي للمشكلات الراهنة من الناحية الأخلاقية.

Morality issue in Arab thought was not given the required importance compared to politics, for example, for that reason, Muhammad Abed al-Jabri devoted an important part of his critical project to ethics that he refers to as” the practical reason «in his book The Arab Moral Mind. This research paper is interested in answering some questions related to this concept such as: What is the meaning that Jabri wanted to attribute to the concept of criticism of ethics? What are the implications of this trend? And what is its value
As an attempt to answer the above questions, the aim is to know about the reality of morality related research in contemporary Arab thought, as well as its ability to address current issues from an ethical perspective
