اهتم البلاغيون بالتواصل وما يتعلق به، ويعتبر مفهوم المقام أهم مفهوم عالج البلاغيون العرب ضمنه مبادئ التواصل اللغوي وشروطه. فقد كان محور اهتمام البلاغيين ومباحث البلاغة، وهذا الاهتمام بالمقام وعناصره أثناء عملية التواصل يتفق مع ما توصّل إليه علماء الاتصال في الدراسات المعاصرة، من ضرورة التركيزعلى العناصرغيراللسانية الحاضرةفيذهن المتكلمين، وفي الواقع الحي أثناء التواصل.

Les rhétoriciens arabes utilisent le contexte, comme concept de base, dans leurs études des principes de la communication linguistique.
Cet intérêt porté au contexte et ses composants au cours du processus de communication correspond aux théories contemporaines de cette discipline.
Nous nous reposerons dans cette étude sur les éléments non linguistiques dans l’élaboration du discours.
