Qur’anic Ontology: A study on the semantic processing of the electronic qur’anic lexicon

Abstract

English

The aim of this research is to address the epistemological foundations and experimental practices that enable researchers to better understand the procedures for automated processing of the Qur’an. The goal is to propose a conceptual model for Qur’anic ontology that can be realized practically. This approach, which integrates both linguistic and computational aspects, could serve as a pioneering computational research proposal to benefit the Arabic language, which, in this context, is the language of the Qur’an. The study relies on a semantic-linguistic and computational lexicon analysis to uncover the computational features of Qur’anic indexing, which has contributed to the construction of an organized Qur’anic database that reflects the automated knowledge system embedded in the Qur’an.

إنّ مرمى هذا البحث، يأخذ بعين الاعتبار الأسس المعرفية والممارسات التجريبية التي تجعل الباحثين أكثر وعيا بضبط إجراءات المعالجة الآلية على القرآن الكريم، من أجل تقديم نموذج معرفي للأنطولوجيا القرآنية يكون قابلا للتجسيد؛ فهذه المقاربة التي تجمع بين الجانبين اللساني والحاسوبي يُمكن أن تكون مقترحا لبحوث حاسوبية طلائعية تُسخَّر لخدمة اللغة العربية، بوصفها في هذا البحث لغة القرآن الكريم، حيث استند العمل على التحليل المعجمي الدلالي-الحاسوبي للكشف عن الخصائص الآلية لفهرسة القرآن الكريم، ممّا ساعد على بناء قاعدة بيانات قرآنية منظّمة تعبّر عن النظام المعرفي الآلي داخل القرآن الكريم

L’objectif de cette recherche est d’examiner les bases épistémologiques et les pratiques expérimentales qui permettent aux chercheurs de mieux comprendre les procédures de traitement automatisé du Coran. L’objectif est de proposer un modèle conceptuel pour l’ontologie coranique qui soit réalisable sur le plan pratique. Cette approche, qui combine des aspects linguistiques et informatiques, pourrait constituer une proposition de recherche informatique pionnière au service de la langue arabe, langue du Coran dans ce contexte. L’étude repose sur une analyse lexicographique sémantique et informatique pour révéler les caractéristiques informatiques de l’indexation du Coran, ce qui a contribué à la construction d’une base de données coranique organisée qui reflète le système de connaissances automatisé inhérent au Coran.
