The translation of the Holy Qur'an has always been at the center of interest of researchers in the fields of qur’anic, linguistic and translation studies, and between the difficulty of such a task and its necessity at the same time, the debate has often been limited to the legitimacy or not of translating the Holy Qur'an into languages other than Arabic on the one hand, and between literal translation or free translation (of meaning) on the other hand. Through this brief study, we aspire to overcome the classic controversy over the legitimacy and illegitimacy of translating the Holy Qur'an, and to deal with the fact that several translations of the Holy Qur'an do already exist in different languages of the world. By shedding light on the methods of translating the sacred text of Islam from the perspective of modern translation studies.

لقد استقطبت ترجمة القرآن الكريم اهتمام الكثير من الباحثين والدارسين في حقل الدراسات القرآنية واللغوية والترجمية على حد سواء، وبين صعوبة المأمورية وضرورتها في آن واحد، كان معظم الجدل منحصرا بين مشروعية وعدم مشروعية نقله إلى لغات أجنبية غير العربية من جهة، وبين ترجمته حرفيا أو معنويا من جهة أخرى. نسعى من خلال هذه الدراسة المقتضبة إلى تجاوز الجدل الكلاسيكي حول مشروعية الترجمة والتعامل مع الواقع الصريح بوجود ترجمات عديدة للقرآن الكريم، وبشتى لغات العالم لنسلط بعض الضوء على طرق ترجمته من منظور الدراسات الترجمية الحديثة.

La traduction du Saint Coran a toujours été le centre d’intérêt des chercheurs dans les domaines d’études coranique, linguistique et traductologique, et entre la difficulté d’une telle tâche et sa nécessité en même temps, le débat s’est souvent limité à la légitimité ou non de traduire le Saint Coran en langues autres que l’Arabe,d’un côté, et entre une traduction littérale ou traduction libre (du sens) de l’autre côté. Nous aspirons, à travers cette étude succincte de dépasser la polémique classique autour de la légitimité et l’illégitimité de traduire le Saint Coran, et de faire avec le fait que plusieurs traductions du Saint Coran existent déjà en différentes langues du monde, en jetant la lumière sur les méthodes de traduction du texte sacré de l’Islam sous l’angle de la traductologie moderne.
